Be Sure To Tell Them Aunt Bea Says ‘Hey’

Shazam and golly, Jim Nabors says he’s fully recovered from a liver transplant and wants to celebrate.

So he’s bringing about 95 friends to Montana today for his “Friends and Nabors” concert at the Flathead Festival.

He said he’s been planning on it since Entertainment Tonight co-host and part-time Whitefish resident Mary Hart narrated “Peter and the Wolf” at last year’s festival.

“I’m calling the concert ‘Friends and Nabors’ because a few of my friends are going to sing with me in the show. It’s sort of a celebration of my life, and a bunch of friends are coming to it - 95 at the last count,” Nabors said.

Hart is expected to return, along with Florence Henderson.

“Mary Hart and I will do a duet from ‘Phantom of the Opera,”’ Nabors said.

Just 17 months ago, Nabors was at the brink of death with the hepatitis B virus that he apparently contracted while traveling in India. A liver transplant in February 1994 saved his life.
