Woman Sentenced For Sex With Teens

From Staff And Wire Reports

A 21-year-old California woman who admitted having sex with 13- and 14-year-old boys will spend at least 180 days in prison, a judge ordered Friday.

As part of a plea agreement, Kimberly Ward of Lancaster, Calif., pleaded guilty to three counts of lewd conduct in May.

In exchange for her guilty plea, seven other counts of lewd conduct against her were dismissed.

The charges stemmed from a series of sexual encounters Ward had with several teenage boys between March and May of 1994.

Her boyfriend, Kenneth Wyckoff, 31, faces charges for allegedly arranging and watching the sex acts. He is also uncle to two of the boys.

Ward’s public defender Brian Long pointed out that one of the boys involved in the incident could be the father of her baby. No paternity tests have been done.

Ward’s mother held the gurgling infant throughout the hearing Friday.

Judge James Michaud sentenced Ward to a minimum of four years in prison for each count but suspended that order.

Instead, Ward will serve six months in the Pocatello women’s prison where she will undergo treatment and evaluation.
