Usc Recruit Questioned

Compiled From Wire Services

Kenneth Haslip, who enrolled at Southern Cal on a football scholarship last fall, reportedly had his college entrance exam results challenged by the organization that administers the test.

A former track and football star at John Muir High in Pasadena, Haslip entered USC after getting a qualifying mark on his Scholastic Aptitude Test on his fourth try.

However, the Los Angeles Times reported the Educational Testing Service in Princeton, N.J., has informed Haslip it believes there is evidence to support invalidating the results of the test, which he took in March 1994.

In a letter to Haslip dated Sept. 26., ETS said “there is an unusual amount of agreement between your answer and another test taker.”
