‘Friends’ Captures Top Spot
NBC’s Thursday night twosome of “Friends” and “Seinfeld” captured the top two spots in the Nielsen ratings last week.
“Friends” was the No. 1 show with a 15.0 rating/26 share, according to Nielsen ratings released Tuesday.
NBC won the week with a 7.7 rating, followed by ABC and CBS in a tie for second (7.2), Fox (4.5), UPN (1.7) and WB (1.6).
A rating point equals 954,000 television households. A share is the percentage of TV sets tuned to a particular program.
