Devils Still On Thin Ice

Work on a deal to keep the NHL Devils in New Jersey is continuing, but no agreement has yet been signed.

Sources told the Associated Press that the two sides could announce a deal as early as today, but that it was not completed as of Wednesday evening.

New Jersey Network reported that a “letter of agreement” had been signed between the Stanley Cup champions and the authority, which operates the Brendan Byrne Arena where the team plays.

But John Samerjan, spokesman for the authority, denied the report.
