Bus Plunge Leaves At Least 43 Dead

A bus rolled off a mountain road in western Nepal and fell about 330 feet, killing at least 43 people and injuring 17, a news agency reported Saturday.

The accident occurred Friday near the village of Jhumsa, 110 miles west of Katmandu, the Nepalese National News Agency reported.

Rescue workers recovered 41 bodies from the accident site. Two passengers died in a hospital. Of the 17 injured, 10 were hospitalized for treatment. The rest were treated for minor injuries and released.
