Here is a look at action Wednesday in the Washington Legislature:

GOVERNOR:

No major action.

SENATE:

Approved and sent to the House SB5194, to extend the Puget Sound Water Quality Authority’s life until 2003.

The Law and Justice Committee approved and sent to the Ways and Means Committee Initiative 159, to require additional prison time for felons who use guns in committing crimes.

HOUSE:

Approved and sent to the Senate HB1010, to rein in government regulators.

Approved and sent to the governor SB5038, to delay for six months adoption of a basic medical benefits package that all insurers would have to offer under the state’s health care law.
