Jury Still Out On Knievel Suit
A Spokane County jury begins its third day of deliberations today in the Evel Knievel invasion-ofprivacy trial.
The seven-woman, five-man panel was handed the case Tuesday afternoon.
Knievel, 56, is seeking at least $130,000 in damages from Spokane’s Ridpath Hotel.
The former motorcycle daredevil claims he was beaten up in his hotel room on Sept. 11, 1989, after a desk clerk gave a spare key to confessed cocaine dealer Clarence “Cip” Paulsen III.
Paulsen admits getting the key and entering Knievel’s room that night. But he denies laying a hand on his “friend.”
