While Joanne Watts’ husband Gus was recuperating from heart surgery she would watch the Medstar helicopter take off and land on the roof of Sacred Heart Medical Center.

“I’ve been impressed,” she says, by “the people who hold the line. It’s vivid in my mind all the effort they put out to save people. I get tearful when I think about it.”
