Castro Adviser, 66, Dies Of Heart Attack
A longtime adviser to Cuban President Fidel Castro has died of a heart attack. Jose Alberto “Pepin” Naranjo Morales was 66.
Naranjo, who sources at Havana Radio said died Friday, was a founder of the Cuban Communist Party and the Cuban armed forces and was a former mayor of Havana. He also was head of the Food Industry Ministry.
For 15 years until his death, Naranjo headed a team of aides to the Cuban president.
