Task Force, Police Nab 13 On Drug Charges

Law enforcement officials issued numerous search warrants and arrested 13 people in Okanogan County on drug charges Friday.

It was part of an “ongoing investigation into drug sales on the reservation and in the community,” said Fred Brown, deputy chief of the Colville Tribal Police Services.

The tribal police worked with the Central Washington Narcotics Task Force to issue five tribal search warrants and numerous state warrants, Brown said.

The 13 people arrested face charges of possession and delivery of cocaine and marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The following people were arrested: Monte Marchand, 26, and Anthony Ankney, 32, both of Nespelem, on charges of delivery of controlled substance; Gerald Sam, 39, of Nespelem, possession of marijuana; Carla Marchand, 27, of Nespelem, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia; Glen James, 43, of Nespelem, possession of drug paraphernalia; Robert Ruiz Jr., 22, of Malott, delivery of cocaine; Gerald Gabourie, 25, of Malott, possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia, delivery of cocaine and violation of probation; and Robert Ruiz Sr., 55, of Malott, possession of cocaine.

Others arrested were Dana “Joe” Leach, 22, of Malott, possession of drug paraphernalia; Cecil Albert, 42, of Okanogan, delivery of marijuana; Lorraine Albert, 33, of Okanogan, possession of marijuana; Arnold Abrahamson, 26, of Omak, delivery of a controlled substance; and Roberta “Bea” Campbell, 25, of Omak, delivery of a controlled substance.
