Church To Charles: Dump Camilla

Saying he doesn’t want to get married again is not enough: Prince Charles has to dump his paramour, Camilla Parker Bowles, to preserve the sanctity of the British monarchy, according to Church of England elders.

“Irrespective of whether it is a prince or pauper, that sort of relationship outside marriage is absolutely against the teachings of the church,” the Archdeacon of Blackburn, David Robinson, said. “It would be a serious question for the church to tackle.”

The elders were the latest to weigh in on the topic of Charles’ marriage.

Queen Elizabeth II last week urged her eldest son and Princess Diana, separated three years, to divorce. The 47-year-old Charles immediately agreed, adding that he did not intend to remarry.

Diana has not replied yet to the queen’s letter.
