Virginia’s drive to an unprecedented fifth straight men’s NCAA soccer championship was derailed when the Cavaliers lost 3-2 in the semifinals to arch rival Duke, their first loss of the season.

In the other match, Wisconsin advanced to its first NCAA soccer final with a 1-0 victory over Portland.

The games were played before a crowd of 21,319, the largest crowd for a college soccer game in the United States.
