Republicans Back Embattled Official

Utah’s most avid Republicans affirmed their unwavering support Saturday for Rep. Enid Greene Waldholtz - at least for now.

Some 90 members of the Utah Republican Party central committee approved a resolution expressing “full support and confidence” in Waldholtz while she works toward a tell-all news conference Dec. 11.

A handful of the GOP loyalists opposed the motion, saying the party is foolish to embrace Enid until members ascertain the truth in the blizzard of accusations pelting her.
