Gunmen Hold Up Ritzy Restaurant

Le Bec-Fin, rated the top restaurant in the United States, was robbed early Sunday by three men wearing ski masks.

The robbers pushed through the door after closing, threatening the staff with an automatic pistol and a shotgun while one grabbed a moneybag containing some $3,500 from the managers’ office, police said.

There were no customers in the French restaurant and no staff members were injured.

Le Bec-Fin has been ranked the nation’s best restaurant by the magazine Conde Nast Traveler.
