Man Convicted 28 Years Later
A man was convicted Monday of the 1966 slaying of his wife - a case broken last year when the couple’s daughter came forward to recount a fatal fight she witnessed at age 5.
Lyle Eugene Keidel, 58, a Scottsdale contractor, was found guilty of first-degree murder.
His daughter, Lori Romanek, now 34, didn’t approach police with her story until 1993. She told jurors she kept it a secret out of fear of her father.
Dianne Keidel disappeared Sept. 17, 1966. Her remains were found beneath a concrete slab in the family’s former home last September, after police were led to the scene by Romanek.
