On 11-27-19 I was on the Palouse Highway just south of Baltimore Rd. I found this young eagle having an early Thanksgiving feast. He was sharing his bounty with the local magpies and other carrion that came and went. The wind was howling and the eagle was disinterested in me and car traffic around him. The deer was a possible casualty of a road incident as it was only about 50 yards from the roadway.

I was at a wetland on the bank of the Little Spokane River on November 11, 2019. I know not to approach a moose... but they spent about 30 minutes approaching me! I got these photos before beating a hasty retreat.

Neighborhood Moose taken November 4, 2019 Four Lakes A mother and her two calves settled into the neighborhood for a few days, and early in the morning of November 4, on my way to get the newspaper at the end of the drive, she came out of the trees to greet me (gasp!).
