
Your Outdoor Photos: March 2025
The Inland Northwest is full of flora, fauna, waters, scenery and active people out to savor it all. Please visit this gallery regularly to share photos of your wild experiences, learning moments, hot discoveries, favorite trips. Help us build a visual tour of what's so great about the outdoors in this region through all four seasons. This photo gallery will be an inspiration to some people. To others it will be a reminder of why we love to live here – and get outside as much as possible.

This photo of Red Crossbills was taken on the Pedestal that holds the old mail box at headquarters on Turnbull wild life refuge. There were at times 5or6 birds on it. I am not sure if they were getting insects or salt from the leaching Mortar. Or trying to pick up their mail.

My Grandson Gavin, handheld the camera to achieve this lovely image of a belted kingfisher while panning the action on a perfectly beautiful day this past Friday at Lake Fernan, opposite Lake Coeur d' Alene. I am proud of his accomplishments and his devotion to conservation. Gavin R O L W E S is a senior at North Central High School.

These are Red Crossbills there is nothing wrong with their bills the male is a Orangie red and the female is a Greenish color. These two were down low pecking at a dirt on a downed tree root ball. Taken march 5 2025.
