Mitch Carbon is the notable senior for University High School. Mitch has spent his entire high school career battling cancer. Four times he thought he had conquered it, and four times it came back. During this life struggle, he maintained an A average and did his school work from hospital beds, during his summers and as much as he could at school. Finally, in his senior year, through an experimental T-cell procedure, on his virtual death-bed, Mitch came through to the other side. He is now miraculously, 100 percent cancer-free. He is graduating with his class and he is going to attend Whitworth University in the fall.
