What happened: Javon Barbee scored 29 points with seven rebounds and the 12th-seeded Cardinals (21-4) eliminated the fourth-seeded Eagles (20-5) in a State 2A Round of 12 game at Yakima Valley SunDome on Wednesday. Will Busse led West Valley with 16 points, Brice Abbey added 14 with four 3-pointers and Nathan Zettle had 13. The Eagles trailed 20-16 at halftime, shooting just 23%, and the Cardinals used a 17-11 run in the third to push their lead to double digits.
