Christian Vela scored 27 points, and host Wapato eliminated West Valley from the 2A subregional with a 65-52 win Saturday. Martin Herford led the Eagles with 17 points, while Anthony Rice notched 13 points.

Clarkston 72, West Valley 45

Trevon Allen and CJ Johnson scored 17 points apiece as Clarkston rolled to a 72-45 victory over visiting West Valley in the District 7 2A championship on Monday night. Clarkston will host the no. 2 seed from the Central Washington Athletic Conference, while West Valley travels to the number 1 seed. Both games are Saturday night. Jett Sobotta scored 12 points, all from 3-point range in the first half, to help Clarkston build a 43-22 halftime lead and the Bantams cruised from there.
