What happened: Xander Orejudos homered and drove in three and the Bulldogs defeated the visiting Eagles (15-7) 6-3 on Saturday in a 2A Great Northern League/Central Washington Athletic Conference loser-out crossover game. Orejudos also pitched six solid innings to earn the win for Ellensburg, which advances to state. Scott South, Cameron Andrews and Connor Whitney recorded two hits apiece for West Valley.

What happened: Devin Cook pitched seven innings while only allowing one run as Cheney defeated West Valley 5-1 on Tuesday. On offense, catcher Cade VanWormer led with two hits including a double. The Blackhawks managed to bat all nine hitters in the second inning to help score four runs. Conner Whitney smacked three hits, including two doubles, for West Valley.
