Leon Sayers scored 12 of his 17 points during the first quarter Saturday and North Central (7-4) earned the third-place trophy at the Avista Holiday Tournament at Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston with a 43-38 win over Wenatchee (3-7). The Indians were scheduled to play Walla Walla, but Walla Walla had to drop out or risk playing too many game per state rules.
