The Garfield-Palouse boys raced past Wellpinit 94-50 in the state subregional 1B tournament, Saturday night. Gar-Pal got a huge boost from Ian Neiberg's 30 points along with Matt Holbrook's 27. Gar-Pal who used a 32 point 4th quarter to blow the game wide open, will advance to the State 1B tournament, while Wellpinit, led by Cedric Bowen's 18 points, will see their season come to a close.

Cedric Bowen led Wellpinit (18-5) with 18 points and seven steals in their 59-40 victory over Cusick (10-12) in their District 7 1B playoff match-up. Clayton Flett nailed 13 points for Wellpinit, while Jason Holt earned seven points and nine rebounds. Brandon Flett accumulated one point, 12 rebounds and nine assists. Spirit White led Cusick in scoring with nine points. With this victory, Wellpinit earns the 2-seed throughout Regionals, while Cusick is eliminated from the playoffs.
