Alec Bluff tallied 32 points and grabbed 15 rebounds in Cusick's 72-53 win over Wellpinit in a District 7 1B elimination game at Deer Park. Chad Browneagle also posted a double-double for Cusick, totaling 14 points and 11 rebounds. Cusick outscored Wellpinit 18-2 in the first quarter and will move on to play Selkirk on Saturday at 2:45 p.m. for the right to play in the regional round of the state tournament.

Cody Grumbach and Aaron McCullough combined for 42 points and Curlew rode a 25-point fourth quarter to claim a 65-60 victory over Wellpinit to earn spot in the Northeast 1B District tournament championship on Saturday, Feb. 20.
