What happened: Aliyah Henry scored 17 points with seven rebounds, Chloe DeHaro added 16 points and the ninth-seeded Eagles (21-2) upset the No. 1 Thunderbirds (22-3) in a 2A first-round loser out at Yakima Valley Sun Dome on Wednesday. DeHaro hit 3 of 3 from beyond the arc and Henry added two 3-pointers. West Valley advances to a quarterfinal against second-seeded Ellensburg on Thursday at 2 p.m.
