What happened: The sixth-seeded Wildcats (13-4) beat the 11th-seeded Blazers (18-10) 25-20, 25-22, 18-25, 18-25, 18-16 in the first round of the State 3A Tournament at the Yakima SunDome. Mt. Spokane advances to play third-seeded Prairie in the quarterfinals at 9 p.m. Friday night.
