Tied going into the fourth quarter, Curlew got a lead, then hit 13 of 17 free throws to hold off Sunnyside Christian 54-49 to keep their season going. Coby Grumbach led the Cougars with 15 points, while Daniel Tresham had a team-high seven rebounds to go with his seven points. As a team, Curlew outrebounded Sunnyside Christian 26-16. For the Knights, Justin Faber had a team-high 15 points. With the victory Curlew advances to State at the Spokane Arena starting Thursday.
