Trailing by eleven going into the fourth quarter, St. Maries rallied to outscore West Jefferson 26-13 in the fourth for a 71-69 victory in the 2A State Tournament. Matthew Smith and Logan Feasline each had double-doubles for the Lumberjacks; Smith finished 23 points and 11 rebounds, while Feasline had 14 points and 14 rebounds. Hardley Edelmeyer led the Panthers with 25 points, and Benson Briggs had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Soda Springs got 18 points from Josh Bowman, 16 points from Riley Yamacuhi and won a back-and-forth game over St. Maries 59-55 in a 2A State tournament semifinal at Capital High in Boise on Friday. The Cardinals (22-6) overcame a 3-point hole after the third quarter with a 15-point fourth to storm into today’s championship game.
