Pomeroy staged a second-half rally to knock off St. John-Endicott 53-49 Tuesday in a District 9 1B contest. The Pirates faced a 30-17 hole at the half, but Kacey Halbert scored 19 of her 25 points after the break to fuel the comeback. She had 11 in the fourth quarter alone. Savannah Ruark added 11 points for Pomeroy. Sierra McCanna notched 14 points for SJE, and Gracie Dickerson tallied 10. Pomeroy's next assignment comes Friday, when they face Oakesdale.

Oakesdale 78, St. John-Endicott 60

Oakesdale made 27 of its 31 free throws on the night to secure a 78-60 win over St. John-Endicott. Jacey Johnson scored 26 points and Logan Reed added 24 for Oakesdale, which will play Colton on Friday at 5 p.m. Abby Glorfield scored 14 points for St. John-Endicott.
