Tyler Taff scored the lone goal in the 21st minute to lift Life Christian (15-4) to a 1-0 victory over Saint George's (11-5) in the Class 1B/2B state championship match Saturday at Sunset Chevrolet Stadium in Sumner. Cate Caporicci made six saves for the Dragons, which fell short of a second straight title in only the fourth year of the program.

Sydney Wilcox scored the game-winning penalty and the Dragons (11-4) beat the Bears (19-1) in penalty kicks (5-3) in the semifinals of the 2B/1B state tournament in the Sunset Chevrolet Stadium. The Dragons advance to play Life Christian Academy on Saturday in the Sunset Chevroley Stadium at 2 p.m. Alli Dixson scored in the 50th minute for the Dragons.
