What happened: Timberlake outlasted South Fremont 3-2 on Friday morning to open the Idaho 3A State tournament at Madison High School in Rexburg. Turning point: The Tigers held tough after dropping the third and fourth games, both of which went beyond regulation. Stat of the game: Kenzie Dean totaled 19 kills and 33 digs while Matraca Rocheleau added 58 assists and four aces.
