Lakeland jumped to a 7-0 lead and never looked back in a 61-33 victory over Sandpoint in Idaho 4A Region I play at North Idaho College. Tyrel Derrick scored 18 points and had seven assists for Lakeland, Jake Ram added 12 points and Slader Ray scored nine points and pulled down seven rebounds. Lakeland plays Moscow at 8 p.m. Wednesday at NIC for the district championship, while Sandpoint was eliminated.

Despite a slow start, Coeur d'Alene preserved, defeating Sandpoint 66-54. The Vikings benefitted from outstanding performances from Tony Naccarato and Colby Daniels. Tony Naccarato led in scoring for Coeur d'Alene, finishing with 21 points, but Naccarato also had 11 rebounds for the double-double. Colby Daniels finished with 15 points and seven rebounds. For the Bulldogs, Jeremiah Gagnon provided much of the scoring with 21 points.
