Jared McDaniel finished 4 for 4 with two runs and two runs batted in Wednesday as host Lakeland defeated Sandpoint 7-4 in the 4A District I-II baseball championship game in Rathdrum. Ryan Pote and JJ Mackesy added two RBIs apiece for the Hawks, who advanced to state.

Dylan Bradbury allowed two runs and scattered five hits across a complete game performance for Lakeland and the Hawks beat the visiting Bulldogs 5-2 in the first game of a doubleheader on Saturday. The game picked up in the bottom of the fourth inning after it was started on April 25th.
