Down 7-3, Riverside Christian rallied in the sixth for 11 runs, coming back to claim the state title with a 14-7 victory over Liberty Christian. Matthew Taylor, a substitute, started the rally with a single. Taylor finished 2 for 2 with two runs scored. The Patriots had stretched their lead to four runs by scoring three in the top of the sixth, but Riverside Christian had eight hits and walked five times in the bottom of the sixth to take the lead.
