What happened: Alec Ammerman struck out six in a complete game and the No. 1 ranked and top-seeded Bombers (26-0) eliminated the visiting eighth-seeded Bullpups (20-7) in a State 4A quarterfinal on Saturday. Ammerman gave up five hits and didn't walk a batter. Luke Brown was the hard-luck loser for G-Prep. The senior allowed two runs on six hits and two walks with five strikeouts.

What happened: Chris Daniels had two hits and three runs batted in and the top-seeded Bombers (21-0) beat the visiting second-seeded Bullpups (20-6) in the District 8 4A championship game on Saturday. Dallas Bennett pitched a complete game shutout, striking out four. Richland advances to state and Gonzaga Prep will play Kamiakin in a winner-to-state game at 4 p.m.
