Senior Julia Boyd pitched a two-hitter, giving up only three walks while throwing ten strikeouts as Cheney defeated Pullman 8-3 in the District 7 2A championship game. Boyd also hit a solo home run. Freshman Meghan Krantz helped lead the Blackhawks' offense, going 3 for 4 with a home run and two RBIs. Senior Cassie Schliep went 3 for 3 with a double and an RBI. Pullman knocked off East Valley in the GNL semifinal matchup thanks to 16 Pullman hits and eight East Valley errors. East Valley gave up six runs in the sixth inning thanks to five errors in that inning. East Valley's Katy Sinn was 3 for 5 with two doubles and finishes with a .642 batting average for the year.
