A pair of big runs helped Pomeroy come from behind and knock off Almira/Coulee-Hartline 52-45 Friday in Cheney in the 1B regional round of state. With the win, the Pirates advance to the state quarterfinals Thursday at the Spokane Arena. Tyson Feider scored 15 points, and Pomeroy defeated Liberty Christian 62-38 Saturday at Clarkston in a District 9 1B Tournament game. The Pirates blew open the game with a 20-6 second quarter and led 36-16 at the half. Cole Mayfield added 13 points. It was Pomeroy's fourth win against LC in as many tries this season.
