What happened: Gianna Anderson had 17 kills, 15 digs and six aces and the top-seeded Nighthawks (20-0) beat the fourth-seeded Tigers (16-6) in a State 1B semifinal at Yakima Valley SunDome on Friday. Samantha Holling added 31 assists for Oakesdale. Oakesdale advances to the championship match while Odessa will play in the third-place match.

What happened: Gianna Anderson had 44 digs, 24 kills and two aces and the Nighthawks (19-0) beat the Vikings in five sets in the 1B State championship at Yakima Valley SunDome on Friday. Samantha Holling added 49 assists for Oakesdale. It's Oakesdale's eighth title in 10 years and ninth in the last 14. The Nighthawks have been undefeated since the 2019 state title match.
