Jake Tewalt poured in 18 points to lead Pomeroy to a 69-47 win Monday over Oakesdale in the District 9 1B tournament at Walla Walla. Cort LaMunyan added 13 points for the Pirates and Oscar Morfin tacked on 11. Pomeroy will now play against either Touchet, while Oakesdale is eliminated.

Carter Dahmen and Peter Schultheis scored 18 apiece to lead Colton past Oakesdale 67-51 on Thursday night. After a dead-locked first quarter, Colton outscored Oakesdale 26-8 in the second and remained ahead the rest of the way. Grant Kinzer added 15 points for Colton, who will play Liberty Christian Saturday. Parker Perry led all scores with 19 and Kieron Anderson added 12 for Oakesdale, who plays the loser of Garfield-Palouse and Pomeroy on Saturday.
