What happened: JJ Bodey went 3 for 4 with two RBIs, Ryan Henning had a triple with three driven in and the 13th-seeded Bulldogs (14-10) eliminated the fifth-seeded Crusaders (19-4) in a State 2B quarterfinal at Adna HS on Saturday. Aiden Tibbetts struck out 10 over five innings for NWC.

What happened: Thomas Dowding went 2 for 3 with two RBIs and the Cougars (20-2) beat the Crusaders (17-4) in the District 7 2B championship game at Whitworth on Saturday. Both teams move on to regionals. James Macrae threw 1 1/3 innings of scoreless relief for Chewelah. Parker Farr hit a home run for NWC.
