Jordan Smith posted 15 points and Jessica McKernan added 10 to guide host Mt. Spokane to a 52-30 win over North Central in the District 8 eA loser-out game. The Wildcats came out of halftime shooting 62 percent from the floor in the third quarter to pull away from North Central. Megan Dean led the Indians with six points. Jaidyn Lyman compiled six points, six assists, four steals ,and four rebounds for Mt .Spokane. The Wildcats will travel to Shadle Park in the district 3A championship on Frida…

North Central struggled overall from the free throw line, shooting only 19-31, but the Indians were able to convert in the fourth quarter to edge visiting Rogers 46-41. Megan Dean led North Central with 20 points. She was only 5-15 from the field, but kept the Indians in the game when Rogers jumped out to an early 25-16 lead by hitting seven first half free throws. Dean was 10-12 from the line for the game. The win secured a No. 3 seed for the Indians in the District Tournament.
