What happened: Mt.Spokane has moved on to the Washinton 3A state championship match by defeating Mercer Island in a tight match. Mt.Spokane took the early lead by winning the first set. Mercer Island didn't go away as both teams traded sets until Mt.Spokane won the fifth and final set 17-15.

Miahna Waters had 17 kills and three aces for Mt. Spokane in their three-set victory over Garfield in the 3A regional match-up. Malina Ama earned ten digs and three aces for the Wildcats as well, as Mt. Spokane won 25-16, 25-17, 25-18. With this victory, Mt. Spokane advances to State and will play on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. in the Tri-Cities against North Thurston.
