Spokane's six home runs and the top-seeded Wildcats (21-0) beat the second-seeded Titans (17-5) in the State 3A/2A championship game at Gateway Sports Complex in Yakima on Saturday. What happened: Quincy Schuerman went 4 for 4 with two home runs and six RBIs and the top-seeded Wildcats (19-0) blanked the eighth-seeded Seahawks (17-7) in a State 3A/2A first-round game at Gateway Sports Complex in Yakima on Friday. Mt. Spokane advanced to a semifinal against fourth-seeded Walla Walla (16-8) at 4 p.m. Avery Fox went 5 for 5 with four RBIs, Kaydin Bradeen was 3 for 4 with a home run and five RBIs, and Sloane Gardner pitched a shut out and hit a home run for Mt. Spokane.
