Tyson Degenhart scored 19 points and 15th seeded Mt. Spokane (18-6) upset No. 10 seed Marysville-Pilchuck (19-5) 72-67 in a state 3A regional at North Creek HS on Saturday. Jerry Twenge added 18 points and JT Smith scored 17 for the Wildcats, while Raequan Battle netted 30 points for the Tomahawks. Mt. Spokane advances to a state first-round elimination game at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday against second-seeded O’Dea (23-4), which was upset 77-67 in a regional match against Rainier Beach.
