With less than 45 seconds left in overtime and tied at 57, Rogers' KJ Hassett drove for the baseline and was fouled. Hassett made both of his free throws to put Rogers up by two against Mt. Spokane, a lead that the Pirates would hold onto and win their first-round playoff matchup by a final score of 59-57. Josh Thomas finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds, and Central Valley defeated visiting Mt. Spokane 56-35 on Thursday to conclude the regular season. Cameron Tucker added 14 points for the Bears (16-4, 14-4 Greater Spokane League), who secured the No. 3 seed to districts. Sam Stiles and Garrison Beckley each tallied eight points to pace the Wildcats (3-17, 2-16).
