What happened: Nate Fitzpatrick pitched six innings, allowing zero earned runs and striking out eight and the top-seeded Falcons (14-7) beat the visiting fifth-seeded Panthers (15-6) in a District 8 3A loser out game on Tuesday. Mikey Macall added two hits and a run batted in for Ridgeline. Xavier Hattenburg had two hits for Mead. Ridgeline advances to play Mt. Spokane in a loser out game on Saturday.

What happened: Nick Wade hit a two-run walk-off single and the Suns (11-11) edged the visiting Panthers (15-7) in a first-round game. Cole Startin had given Mead the lead in the top of the seventh with an RBI triple. Mead will face top-seeded Ridgeline in a loser-out on Tuesday.
