Tyson Feider scored 15 points, and Pomeroy defeated Liberty Christian 62-38 Saturday at Clarkston in a District 9 1B Tournament game. The Pirates blew open the game with a 20-6 second quarter and led 36-16 at the half. Cole Mayfield added 13 points. It was Pomeroy's fourth win against LC in as many tries this season. With just under 10 seconds remaining and the game tied at 44, Chris Kelly made a shot from down low while being fouled and converted the 3-point play to put Liberty Christian up by 3. Touchet's Colter McKeown had his 3-point game-tying attempt clang off the rim at the buzzer and the Patriots escaped with 47-44 victory over the Indians in a loser out game at the District 9 1B tournament in Clarkston on Friday evening.
