Mead defeated Lewis and Clark 4-3 in a GSL slowpitch first-round playoff game, scoring the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the score tied a 2 entering the seventh, Lewis and Clark took the lead on an RBI single by Delaney Plumb, driving in Taylor John. In Mead's half of the seventh, Sadie Bocook reached on an error, went to third on a double by Destiny Scott. Both players scored on a single by Carolyn Wendel. What happened: Ashley Hammond highlighted the offense going two for three at the plate while driving in a run to lead Mead (15-5, 15-5) to a senior day win over Lewis and Clark (10-10). Also contributing to the Mead attack was Carolyn Wendel who was 2-3 as well. For the Tigers, Jacinta Bleckley went 2 for 3.
