Sadie Bocook and Shannon Payne recorded three hits each, and Mead produced a 10-run fifth inning to defeat visiting Lewis and Clark Thursday in a GSL 4A playoff game. The game was tied at four entering the frame, when the third-seeded Panthers produced six singles, two doubles and a triple to end the game. Taylor Smith nailed two hits and two RBIs for Lewis & Clark, giving the Tigers the close victory over the Rogers Pirates, by a final of 5-3. Courtney Smith brought in two more hits for the Tigers in a game that saw no extra base hits or home runs. With this victory, Lewis & Clark will face Mead in the next round of the playoffs, while Rogers has been eliminated.
